William Carruthers 

William joined Mutual Ventures with 3 years’ experience working in the central civil service, having worked across a variety of projects with a focus on sustainable funding within the NHS and public services more widely.

William supported several high-profile briefs during his time in the Cabinet Office, working with Permanent Secretaries and Ministers to deliver policy objectives and implement wider civil service change.

At the National Audit Office, William lead a number of engagements with public sector clients across the UK, and has developed significant experience in financial analysis, with a focus on the long-term financial sustainability of public sector organisations. He has contributed to a number of reports, with a focus on Health and Social Care, to hold the government to account on its performance.

Outside of work, William is keenly involved with work in his community and supports a local homeless charity. He also mentors 6th form students on their university applications and career ambitions.
